PrivacyScrubber
Description:
PrivacyScrubber is a browser-based, 100% local PII redaction tool that detects names, emails, phone numbers, API keys and other identifiers with regex and replaces them with typed tokens (e.g., [NAME_1]) so you can safely paste anonymized text into LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini and then locally restore originals by "un-masking" the AI's tokenized response; because all processing, OCR (PRO) and token mapping happen in-memory with zero network calls (Airplane Mode verifiable), it enables privacy-preserving AI workflows that help meet HIPAA/GDPR/SOC2 requirements and prevents accidental leaks of sensitive data while offering PRO features like batch processing and custom redaction rules.
A tool to redact and restore sensitive data in text.
Note: This is a Google Colab, meaning that it's not actually a software as a service. Instead it's a series of pre-created codes that you can run without needing to understand how to code.
Note: This is a GitHub repository, meaning that it is code that someone created and made publicly available for anyone to use. These tools could require some knowledge of coding.

It means that either Matt hasn't reviewed the other tools yet or that this was his favorite among similar tools.
